Fall asleep quickly using the '4 7 8' method

Ancient Yoga traditions give us a breathing technique that really works in helping you get to sleep. It's scientifically proven to trigger your “rest and digest”, parasympathetic nervous system and help you to dreamland faster.

 

Just follow these 3 steps:

 

1.) Breathe in through your nose while counting four seconds.

 

2.) Hold your breath for a count of seven seconds.

 

3.) Breathe out for a count eight seconds, through pursed lips.

 

Repeat this up to four times - unless you are snoozing already of course!!

 

This exercise can be used to reduce stress at any time, not just when you want to go to sleep and the more you try it, the better at it you will get and the more effective it is.
